Here
is our "OH, so sweet!!" lilac girl, "Princess". She is after a lilac
girl that has always been very dear to us, "Apelia's Everlasting Love", but
after trying everything to make peace here, we had to place her in a different home
(together with Avalon - at my cousin's home). We were NOT planning on keeping anything in
Love's last litter here, but Princess just charmed herself into our
hearts! There was no
way she was going anywhere, she just became impossible to part with. She
is in no way the best Birman type, and a very feminine girl.
One thing she DOES have is WONDERFUL eye color!! We have to come to love this girl so much, and
she stayed because, really, because of her inner values - not
because it was the wisest choice for our breeding plans.
Sometimes, that just happens, and it sure did with Princess!! She is a very
precious girl, that we are very happy we have kept - even if she's not the
best typed Birman. That's NOT all that counts - she is wonderful INSIDE,
and THAT'S what really counts!!
Princess
is like no other Birman we've ever had. She will lay in any position she
has to to be as CLOSE to us as she can. If she could crawl under our skin
-
I think she would - just to be CLOSE!! We have lovely tempered Birmans in
general, but Princess just is on a different level - though she has
competition with Sunshine!! She is SO LOVING, and
she has a way of looking at us so that it's like she's trying to tell us
that she wouldn't want to be anywhere else than RIGHT THERE with us!
Princess
has a funny habit - we call her our lilac masked puppy, because she finds
things to bring to us, and she waits for us to throw "whatever"
she has brought, so she can go and get it - and bring it back in her mouth
(or hanging after her from her mouth if it's long). Then she waits for us
to throw it again. Sometimes it gets to be too much, because she brings
things back SO FAST. But she's always ready to take a pause and have a
cuddle, and then she purrs up a storm!
Princess
has gotten more chuncky (though she'll never be large). Her
body seems to a little more round, and it will be very
interesting to see if she develops even more after having
kittens. As of yet, Princess has had no kittens....but we are
hoping that she will sometime this year (2007)!!
